BCT-Bank of Charles Town Announces Amy Panzarella Joins Eastern Panhandle Advisory Board

CHARLES TOWN, WV, October 21, 2022 (OTC:PTBS) – BCT-Bank of Charles Town, also known as The Community’s Bank, recently announced the appointment of Amy Panzarella to its Advisory Board for the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. The Advisory Board consists of community leaders who work and live in Berkeley County and Jefferson County, West Virginia.

The members provide strategic advice to BCT regarding local markets, with an emphasis on the Eastern Panhandle region of West Virginia. 

“We are delighted to have Amy join our Advisory Board in our core Eastern Panhandle market,” stated Alice Frazier, BCT President and CEO.  “The breadth of Amy’s experience as head of HR with one of the largest employers in the Eastern Panhandle (American Public Education, Inc.) plus her extensive executive consultancies in our markets will provide additional strategic opportunities for BCT.”

Panzarella is Owner and President of Amy N. Panzarella, LLC, a Leadership and Executive consultancy located in Charles Town, West Virginia.  She previously served as Vice President of Employee and Community Engagement for American Public Education, Inc. (APEI), parent company of one of the largest accredited online universities in the world, with over 88,408 undergraduate and graduate students. Prior to APEI, Panzarella served in leadership positions in Human Resources for a variety of companies. 

Support for local community initiatives is important to Panzarella.  Currently, she serves as a Governor-appointed West Virginia Semi-quincentennial Commissioner.  Additionally, she serves as a Board Member for CASA of the Eastern Panhandle, Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce (Past President), and Leadership West Virginia. 

Panzarella has been recognized for professional and community awards including West Virginia Human Resources Professional of the Year (2011), Jefferson County West Virginia Distinguished Citizen of the Year (2018), and West Virginia Wonder Woman by West Virginia Living Magazine (2020).  She is a founding and current member of the Eastern Panhandle Society of Human Resources Management (EPSHRM).

Holding several academic and professional endorsements, Panzarella earned a Master’s in Management (MHRM) from American Public University (with Honors), a certification as SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SCP), Senior Professional Human Resources Certification (SPHR), International Coaching Federation’s Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential, a certification from George Mason University’s Leadership Coaching for Organizational Well Being, and is a graduate of Leadership West Virginia.

Originally from Fairborn, Ohio, Panzarella has made Charles Town, West Virginia, her home for almost 20 years.  She and her husband have three adult sons.
